At one time, Zoe Sharp's books kept me captivated with her talented way of bringing her characters to life and pulling me into their world, by making me feel as though I was an unwritten member of the story line. Sadly, it appears that time has passed. The steep cost of the Kindle e-book was so not worth it. I paid the outrageous price because I had become a Charlie Fox junkie and this was a long awaited fix. While the book wasn't horrible, it left much to be desired in plot, character development, and continuality of relationship to the brand. I do believe I'm cured of my addiction.
Charlie Fox fans have waited an eternity for this book only to have what I'd consider a pacifier. Ms. Sharp is a talented author; however, I was truly disappointed with the Fox Hunter. I was left feeling as though Zoe Sharp is done with Charlie Fox and disappointed that a character I had grown to love was given such a weak ending.
Will I read the next book in the series? Maybe if it's released within the next year and cost about 80% of this book, or better yet, check it out of the library for free.

Fox Hunter A Charlie Fox Thriller edition by Zoë Sharp Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews
This book is more in line with the first few Charlie Fox books by Zoe Sharp. The action and setting were both better than the last few filler books. Love having Charlie anywhere but America. In my opinion, she just doesn't fit there. That storyline was just going stale. Anyways, liked the mix of old and new characters. Loved the ending. No spoilers but looking forward to having the old Charlie back.
I've read all of Zoe Sharp's Charlie Fox books and this one was excellent. Finally Charlie and Sean's relationship has been brought to a conclusion of sorts.
The story line was great. Plenty of action and suspense along with some characters from previous books.
Charlie Fox has come a long way since the first book and I hope we'll see where the road takes her.
For those who like suspense and thrills this book would be a great book to read. Beyond the suspense and thrills the story of Charlie Fox is interesting on its own and worth reading.
It's been a long wait for this book. The good news is that it is another fantastic addition to the series. The bad news is I've finished it already. I must admit I'm stumped as to where the author is going with the relationship between Charlie and Sean. It looks like I'll be waiting a while to find out where a Charlie's life will lead her next. Please write quickly Zoe Sharp! I wouldn't mind another Kelly Jacks novel either, while you're at it.
I’m a Charlie Fox (Zoe Sharp) junkie, so I was thrilled to see another book added to this crime thriller mystery series. Fox Hunter is well written, filled with mystery and suspense.
There are plenty of summaries about the book so I will only add that Zoe Sharp was much better at developing this story than her last Charlie Fox novel - - which was a huge disappointment for me. I wish Sean wasn’t going away, but it looks like he is now out of the picture with no “happily ever after.”
I've read all of her books in order and they are always thrilling and addicting.
This one seems like the end of the series for some reason.
She gets rid of those four bad guys from her past and says goodbye to Parker.
Sean apparently will never be the same as far as romance and skill set so he will always remain a background character.
I'm thinking perhaps Charlie will form her own protection company and hire Hamilton, Madeline, and Dawson for starters.
I like the female voice in these kinds of thrillers.
The male voice predictably always start out with a glass of bourbon in the morning and then they destroy their romantic relationships in the afternoon before going off and killing 10 guys. Always the same formula.
At least Charlie and Sean had a thing going which added a lot of character and depth to the story as they developed their romantic relationship as they lived within the framework of being bodyguards.
Thank you for listening and if you read all this then you really must be a true Charlie Fox fan.
Charlie Fox is a brilliant female protagonist, and I've enjoyed every novel and short story in the series. This one did not disappoint. Charlie has a lot of unresolved issues between her and her former partner, Sean Meyer. Her questions about his current mind-set drive her quest to find him and clear his name, but also lead her to walk a fine line and question the changes in her own moral center. The plot is fast-paced, engaging, and explores military culture and issues of rape and its repercussions both in western culture and in a male-dominated society like Iraq. Great settings, well-drawn characters, and excellent writing make this series one of my all-time favorites.
Wow! This book will keep you up all night. I've always been a huge Zoe Sharp fan who inhales every Charlie Fox novel as it rolls off the presses. Read this book and you'll be hooked on Charlie Fox for life. Despite being twelfth in a series, this book can stand alone. An avid reader will find the answers to a lot of series-questions. At the same time, a new reader will enjoy it as a deep dive into a trauma both personal and societal.
Friends and lovers seem like strangers, victims are victimized, muddy accusations cover horrid violence, ancient artifacts are plundered -- this story covers everything. FOX HUNTER takes tough issues head on without preaching or ducking away from the truth. Ms. Sharp expertly contrasts brutality against women by exposing cultural differences between Western and Islamic societies that are sickening in their similarity.
This book is so good you'll give it to friends as a Christmas present. But why wait?
